ahead
Backers of the Rackheath eco-town
want to press ahead with four projects by the end of the year. The
government last week pledged up to £16m towards the scheme which
will see more than 4,000 new eco-friendly homes built in the area -
with the cash given to Broadland District Council.

With plans on the cards for
a new 3,400-home eco-community in Rackheath, the village's leaders
are trying to do their best to protect the interests of residents.
While a final decision has not yet been taken on whether the
development will actually happen, Rackheath Parish Council has
recognised that
